![]() I started with an Umax 2400 scanner at the time, and eventually upgraded to an HP 6200C scanner, acquired when I upgraded my 200 MHz Pentium Pro system to a 450 MHz Pentium II system. In recognition of this, let me add an addendum to the last post, addressing a different Step One of the workflow, which is the capturing of digital images from printed images via scanning.Īs a nearly lifelong fan of digital imaging, I have been using scanners to capture images since 1996 or so, something that I started doing as soon as my then new 200 MHz Pentium Pro system finally provided me with a computer that had enough “grunt” to get the job done. Instead of being captured with a digital camera, they were being captured with film cameras, printed and then scanned. Prior to the emergence of usable digital cameras, digitized photos were still being created of course. ![]() It occurred to me after publishing my last post, Digital Photography Workflow on a Power Macintosh 7300/200, that I had missed an obvious point.
